2 women arrested for drug possession at LPIA

Nassau, Bahamas - Two adult women, one from Amsterdam and the other from from Jamaica are in custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs at LPIA on Friday 29th April 2016.

Reports are that around 3:30pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information conducted a search of a suitcase at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), where they uncovered just over three (3) pounds of ecstasy pills. The two women were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
