350 lbs of marijuana seized in New Providence

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) seized a large quantity of dangerous drugs in New Providence on Monday 13th June 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 11:30pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit was on routine patrol in Southwestern, New Providence, when they uncovered several large bags containing 350 pounds of marijuana.

Investigations are ongoing.
