6 Colombian women among 12 arrested during Police Anti-Crime Operation

Police anti-crime operation which focus on disrupting crime groups and targeting persons involved in criminal activities took a new twist last night with the arrest of 6 Colombian women at a Nightclub in New Providence.

During last night’s operation police acting on intelligence descended on a nightclub located at Elizabeth Avenue, where they met 6 women from Colombia, whom they suspected to be at that location for the purpose of solicitation for prostitution and exotic dancing. The women were taken into custody for breach of the Immigration Act. The club owner was also arrested for breach of the Business License Act.

The police operation team also arrested 6 other persons overnight for various offences to include, possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants.

Last night’s operation was under the command of Chief Superintendent Theophilus Cunningham
