Bahamas Police Commissioner announces senior promotions

Nassau Bahamas - The Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade is pleased to announce the following promotions of a number of Senior Officers within the Royal Bahamas Police Force, which became effective on 1st January 2017.

Assistant Commissioner to Senior Assistant Commissioner

In accordance with the provision of Article 119(2) of the constitution and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, after consultation with the Police Service Commission, Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of the Bahamas has appointed Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean as Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police with effect from 1st January 2017.

Chief Superintendent to Assistant Commissioner

In accordance with the provision of Article 119(2) of the constitution and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, after consultation with the Police Service Commission, Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of the Bahamas has approved the appointments of ten (10) Chief Superintendents to the rank of Assistant Commissioner with effect from 1st January 2017.

The newly appointed Assistant Commissioners are:

Superintendent to Chief Superintendent

By Order No. 19/2017 dated 17th April 2017, Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of the Bahamas, acting on the advice of the Police Service Commission, has approved the promotions of Twenty (20) Superintendents to the rank of Chief Superintendent with effect from 1st January 2017.

The newly promoted Chief Superintendents are:

2. Bernard Bonamy Jr.
3. Patrona Bethel
4. Solomon Cash
5. Zhivago Dames
6. Dellareece Ferguson
7. Maxine Leary-Rolle
8. Kevin Mortimer
9. Carole Gabrielle Pratt
10. Wendell Smith
11. Kirkwood Andrews
12. Derek Burrows
13. Perry Clarke
14. Walter Evans
15. Mario Johnson
16. Telinda Missick
17. Linda Moxey
18. Craig Stubbs
19. Dennis Sturrup
20. Loretta Mackey
