Bahamian jet-ski operator in custody for sexual assault of a Canadian woman

Nassau, Bahamas - A male jet-ski operator is in custody assisting police with their investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a Canadian woman that occurred on Monday June 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30pm, the male jet-ski operator offered the Canadian woman a ride at Cabbage Beach and took her to Athol Island off Paradise Island, where he is alleged to have sexually assaulted her. The male jet-ski operator then returned the woman to Cabbage Beach and the matter was reported to the police.

The police later took the suspect into custody for questioning.

Investigations are ongoing.
