Drug bust in waters off South Andros

POLICE MAKE MAJOR DRUG BUST – 4 MEN IN CUSTODY

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am on Saturday 24th October 2015, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit accompanied by officers from the Police Marine Support Services were on routine patrol at Grassy Creek, South Andros, when they uncovered a white go-fast boat. The officers conducted a search of the vessel and found over 2,000 pounds of marijuana. Acting on information the team was able to take into custody four suspects on a smaller vessel for questioning.

Investigations are ongoing.
