POLICE SEEK PUBLIC HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECT IN ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a male suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday 30th June 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 10:30pm, a man armed with a handgun robbed a Food store located on Grace Avenue & Robinson Road of cash before fleeing on foot.

Investigations are ongoing.

HANDGUN SEIZED BY POLICE

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016 officers from the Selective Enforcement Team took another handgun off the streets of New Providence on Thursday 30th June 2016.

Reports are that shortly before 5:00pm, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team acting on information went to a bushy area located in Yellow Elder Gardens, where they uncovered a 9 – millimeter handgun with 4 live rounds of ammunition. No one was arrested for this discovery.
