Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, officers from the Mobile Division seized an illegal handgun following a car chase on Tuesday 7th March 2017.

According to reports, around 6:00pm, Mobile Division Officers were on routine patrol on Wulff Road and Market Street, where they observed a black Nissan Murano Jeep that failed to stop at a traffic light. The officers signaled to the vehicle to stop but it sped off. A chase ensued that ended on Meadow Street, where the vehicle collided with another vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
