High-powered weapon and drugs seized - 3 arrested for drug possession - several drivers ticked

 High-powered weapon and drugs seized in home raid, two males in custody
- Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Drug Enforcement Unit officers, took two adult males into custody following the seizure of a high-powered weapon and a quantity of dangerous drugs on Saturday 19th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 10:00pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on intelligence executed a search warrant on a home located at Moncur Alley off Kemp Road, where they uncovered an AK-47 assault weapon along with a quantity of marijuana. Two male occupants of the home were subsequently taken into custody in connection with this discovery.

Three males arrested for drug possession - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Selective Enforcement Team officers,
took three adult males into custody for drug possession in separate incidents on Saturday 19th August 2017.

In the first incident, shortly after 3:00pm, Selective Enforcement Team officers acting on information conducted a search of a stall on Potters Cay Dock, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana. Two male occupants of the stall were subsequently taken into custody.

In the second incident, shortly before 8:00pm, Selective Enforcement Team officers acting on information executed a search warrant at a home located in Glenisten Gardens, where they uncovered a quantity of marijuana and 2 live rounds of ammunition. A lone male occupant of the home was subsequently taken into custody in connection with this find.

4 Arrested, 27 drivers ticketed by Mobile Division Officers during 24 hours period - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division targeted patrols intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrest of four (4) persons during the past 24 hours for, stealing and outstanding court warrants.

Additionally, 27 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.
