Infant perishes in house fire in Elizabeth Estates, Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating a fatal house fire that left an infant child dead Tuesday 26th August 2014. According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, Police received a report of a house fire at St. Vincent Avenue, Elizabeth Estates.

On arrival at the scene firefighters found the house fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered the remains of an infant child burned beyond recognition.

An active investigation has been launched to determine the exact caused of the fire.
