Jamaican man arrested for drug possession

Nassau Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Police Plan for 2016, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit took an adult Jamaican male into custody for possession of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 21st June 2016.

Reports are that around 6:00pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit were on routine patrol on Gilbert Street, Kennedy Subdivision when they observed a Jamaican male walking in the area acting suspiciously. The officers conducted a search of the male and found a quantity of marijuana in his possession.

The male was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
