Man dies after vehicle plunged into the sea at Clifton Pier, Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the death of a man who drove his car into waters off Clifton Pier on Friday 29th January 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 6:00pm, Police received a report that a vehicle drove overboard into waters at Clifton Pier in front of a Power Plant. When police arrived on the scene they met a 2013 silver Nissan Sentra vehicle submerged in the water.

Minutes later a team of divers from the Royal Bahamas Defense Force arrived on the scene and removed the lifeless body of a dark adult male from the vehicle and transported him to the Coral Harbour Base where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
