Man in custody illegal firearm & drugs, Searching for suspect in Exuma armed robbery - Pilot of small plane lands on golf course

Excellent work by police in custody lands a man in custody for an illegal firearm and drugs
- Another example of excellent ‘Text Book” police work and precise execution of the Commissioner’s 2016 Policing Plan has led to the arrest of an adult male following the seizure of a firearm and a quantity of drugs on Saturday 26th November 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 8:00am, Mobile Division officers were on routine patrol on Goombay Close, Jubilee Gardens when they saw an adult male sitting in a dark coloured Honda Civic vehicle acting suspiciously. The male on seeing the officers attempted to flee but was caught. The officers conducted a search of the male and uncovered a .380 revolver along with a quantity of marijuana. The suspect then taken into custody and will appear in court later this week to face formal charges.

Police searching for suspect in Exuma armed robbery - Police are searching for the suspects responsible for an armed robbery that occurred in Exuma on Saturday 26th November 2016.

Reports are that shortly before 8:00pm, a man armed with a handgun robbed a service station located in Ramsey’s, Exuma of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a green vehicle driven by a female.
Investigations are ongoing.

Police searching for suspects in shooting incident - Police are searching for the suspects responsible for a shooting incident that occurred Sunday 27th November 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00am, a man was walking on Croton Street, Pinewood Gardens, when the occupants of a dark coloured vehicle pulled up on the side of him and shot him before speeding off. The man was transported to hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.

Pilot of small plane lands on golf course - Police and Civil Aviation authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The pilot of a small, single-engine plane escaped serious injury after landing the aircraft on a Gulf Course in western New Providence, shortly after 2:00pm on Saturday 26th November 2016. The pilot was transported to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and discharged.
