Man shot dead in Pinewood Gardens, 2 suspects sought - Police arrest 7 during operation

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN PINEWOOD GARDENS SHOOTING DEATH

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating two men responsible for a shooting death that occurred on Saturday 14th November 2015.

Reports are that shortly after 3:00pm, a man was sitting in the driveway of his home, located at Jacaranda Street, Pinewood Gardens, when two men in a grey jeep approached and shot him before speeding off. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.


7 ARRESTED DURING POLICE OPERATION

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, a team of officers conducted an operation throughout New Providence on Friday 13th November 2015, that targeted persons wanted for various criminal offences.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 7 persons for possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding criminal warrants.
