Monday morning murder in Nassau, police seek public's help

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving the shooting death of a male that occurred on Monday 10thAugust 2015.

According to reports, shortly before 9:00am, a man was standing at a breakfast stand located on Horseshoe Drive, when two men armed with handguns approached and fired several shots at him before fleeing in a SUV vehicle license number 283966. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later recovered the vehicle abandoned on Boyd Road. The vehicle was recently reported stolen.

An adult male and female are in custody assisting police with this investigation.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending identification by next of kin.

Police wish to reassure members of the public, that they are utilizing all resources to ensure that these brazen and heartless criminals who continue to be engaged in criminal activities are arrested and brought to justice. However, the Police cannot do it alone and are urging members of the public who may have relevant information regarding any criminal offence or information regarding anyone who may be in possession of illegal firearms to immediately to come forward and share the information by anonymously calling Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
