Murder suspect shot by Police - (Updated Saturday, August 15th)

Her Majesty’s Coroner, Mrs. Jeanine Weech-Gomez, is currently investigating the death of an adult male suspect who was shot and killed by police during an arrest in Gamble Heights shortly after 6:00am on Friday 14th August 2015. His identification is being withheld pending identification of next of Kin.

All inquiries are to be directed to Mrs. Jeanine Weech-Gomez at Royal Victoria Gardens.

(Update: Friday, August 14th) - Shortly after 6:00am on Friday 14th August 2915, Police went to a home located in Gamble Heights to locate a man wanted for several  complaints of assault.

When police attempted to arrest the suspect  he began to resist violently  and was subsequently  shot. The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene.

Her Majesty's Corner visited the scene and has now taken over the investigation.

According to reports, around 11:00am on Thursday 13th August 2015, a team of officers from the Flying Squad went to Matthew Street, Nassau Village to execute a search warrant on a home. As the officers approached the home a male armed with a handgun who is wanted for murder ran out of the house. The officers gave chase behind the male who received a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The 30 – year old male was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition under heavy police guard.

Four suspects in custody for murder
- According to reports, officers from the flying squad acting on intelligence took four men into custody on Thursday 13th August 2015 for questioning reference to murder.
