Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic accident at has left a man dead and another detained in hospital on Sunday 11th June 2017. According to reports, shortly before 8:00pm, a man was traveling on West Bay Street in a 2007 Hyundai vehicle accompanied by a male passenger, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. The two men were taken to hospital where the male passenger succumbed to his injuries. The driver condition is listed as stable. Investigations are ongoing.
An American man from Delaware is in custody assisting police with their investigation into an alleged sexual assault of an American woman on Sunday 11th June 2017. According to reports, shortly before 5:00am, the man is alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman in a hotel room at a resort on Paradise Island. The matter was reported to the police who took the man into custody for questioning. Investigations are ongoing.
