Man shot by Nassau police dies in hospital - Call for witnesses

Nassau, Bahamas - Police wish to confirm that the man who was shot when he attempted to attack an officer with a screwdriver in the area of the Arawak Cay Container Port around 11:30am on Saturday 25th July 2015, died in hospital on Sunday 26th July 2015.

The victim has been identified as 44 year old Leroy Hepburn of Water Street, Big Pond Subdivision.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO WITNESSES WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THIS INCIDENT, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT IT MAY SEEM, TO CONTACT POLICE AT 502-9962 OR 502-9991.
