Nassau Police arrest 7 and uncover a firearm

7 Arrested by Mobile Division Officers
- Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities reaped the following results during the past 24 hours:
  • One (1) arrest for Possession of Dangerous Drugs
  • One (1) arrest for Breach of the Bail Act
  • One (1) arrest for Forgery
  • Four (4) arrests for Outstanding Court Warrants One (1) recovered Stolen Vehicle Thirty-three (33) drivers were cited for various Traffic Violations

Mobile Division Officer recover a firearm
- According to reports, around 10:30pm on Thursday 17th April 2014, Mobile Division Officers acting on intelligence conducted a search of an abandoned building located on Charles Vincent Street, where they uncovered a shotgun. No one was arrested in this incident. Investigations are ongoing.
