Nassau Police seek public help solving an armed robbery & 2 early morning shootings

Police seek public’s help solving an armed robbery
- Police are seeking the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday 17th April 2014. 

According to reports, shortly before 12:00midnight, a man was walking through St. Albans Drive, when two men armed with a handgun in a black Honda Acura vehicle license number 242660, robbed him of his cell phone and cash before speeding off.  Investigations are ongoing. 

Police seek public’s help in solving two early morning shooting incidents -
Police are seeking the public’s help in solving two separate shooting incidents that have left two men detained in hospital on Friday 18th April 2014.

In the first incident, shortly before 1:00am, a man was on Dorsette Alley and West Street, when a man armed with a shotgun, shot him to the right shoulder and fled on foot. The victim was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. 

In the second incident, shortly after 1:00am, a man turned up at PMH with an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach.

The man is detained in serious condition.

Police are unable to determine where this shooting occurred.

An investigation has been launched into both of these incidents.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
