Nassau couple arrested for possesion of stolen vehicle - Police operation yields 13 arrests

A MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STOLEN VEHICLE BY SOUTHWESTERN DIVISION OFFICERS

Nassau, Bahamas - A 31 – year old man and a 22 – year old woman are in custody after they were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle on Friday 14th November 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 8:00am officers from the Southwestern Division were on patrol, when they observed the two suspects driving on Carmichael Road in a 2001 champagne colour Nissan vehicle reported stolen on 6th November 2014. The officers brought the vehicle to a stop and took the two suspects into custody for questioning in connection with this incident.

13 ARRESTED DURING A POLICE CRIME SUPPRESSION OPERATION POLICE are reporting the arrest of 13 persons for a number of serious offenses including attempted murder and armed robbery, during a police crime suppression operation on Friday 14th November 2014. The operation was aimed at disrupting crime groups and targeting persons involved in criminal activities, such and Drugs and Firearms, Persons wanted for various criminal offences, Prolific Offenders, Persons wanted for Outstanding Court Warrants and motorists operating in Breach of the Traffic Laws.

The operation, which is consistent with the Commissioner’s 2014 Policing Priorities, was under the command of Chief Superintendent Clayton Fernander.
