According to reports, shortly before 9:00pm, the victim was involved in an altercation with the suspect who is her boyfriend at a home located at Alfred Way off Winders Terrace. The altercation resulted in the suspect fatally stabbing the victim multiple times about her body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A short while later police acting on intelligence went to a home located at Shrimp Road off Carmichael Road, where they met the suspect suffering from several self-inflicted stab wounds. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to hospital, where he is being detained in stable condition under heavy police guard.
