Nassau man robbed of 2008 silver Honda Accord - DEU arrest 4 for drugs, gun and ammo

FOUR HELD IN CONNECTION WITH GUN AND AMMO FIND

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, a team of officers assigned to the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) seized an illegal firearm along with a quantity of dangerous drugs during an operation at Polhemus and Nassau Streets on Tuesday 14th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00am, DEU Officers were on an operation in the area when a premises, was searched and a Glock Pistol with 16 live rounds of ammunition, along with a quantity of marijuana and cocaine was found.

Two adult males and two adult females were taken into custody in connection with the find.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT AND STOLEN VEHICLE

Police are searching for a suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday 14th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00am, a man was cleaning his 2008 Silver Honda Accord vehicle in front of a business establishment on Carmichael Road, when he was accosted by a man armed with shotgun who robbed him of his vehicle before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.
