Nassau man shot dead in home invasion

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, sometime around 1:40am on Tuesday 28th October 2014, a 44yr old male resident of Richmond Avenue, Blair Estates was at home along with his family when persons unknown kicked in the front western door to his home. Upon hearing the noise, he got his licensed shotgun and went to investigate.

He encountered three assailants inside his home, one of whom was armed with a handgun. There was an exchange of gunfire between the 44yr old resident and the assailants resulting in the resident being fatally shot and one of the assailants being shot to the chest. The men escaped the residence in a silver Honda Accord.

Shortly afterward a female driver showed up at PMH with a male passenger suffering from gunshot injuries to the chest. He was rushed into surgery and is listed in critical condition. Responding officers took the female driver of Rocky Pine Road into custody for questioning.

Police need to see Kevin Andrews age 18 yrs of Faith Avenue for questioning reference to this matter.
