Nassau manhunt launched for Fincastle shooting - 4 armed robberies under investigation

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP AND LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECT IN FT. FINCASTLE FATAL SHOOTING

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are appealing to members of the public to come forth with any information they may have in solving a shooting incident that has left a 23 – year old woman dead on Thursday 26th March 2015.Preliminary reports are, that shortly before 10:00pm, a woman was walking to her vehicle parked in front of a home located just off Prison Lane, Fort Fincastle, when a man armed with a handgun shot her to the head and fled on foot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police has launched an investigation into this matter and an island –wide manhunt for the suspect.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN 4 ARM ROBBERIES, ONE HANDGUN RECOVERED

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving four armed robberies that occurred on Thursday 26th March 2015.

In the first incident, shortly after 10:00am, a man was walking on Palm Beach Street, when three men armed with a handgun robbed him of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.In the second incident, around 3:00pm, a man was driving his public service bus on Lincoln Boulevard, when two male passengers armed with a handgun robbed him of cash and fled on foot.

In the third incident, shortly before 10:00pm, a man and a woman were at their home located off Faith Avenue, when two men armed with handguns robbed them of a cell phone and jewelry. The man along with neighbors tried to subdue one of the suspects, however both suspects managed to escape leaving behind a handgun.

In the fourth incident, shortly after 10:00pm, two women were walking on West Bay Street, when two men armed a handgun robbed them of jewelry and cash before fleeing on foot.

Investigations are ongoing in all of these incidents.
