Nassau police arrest Bulgarian man with card-skimming device

Nassau, Bahamas - Police took into custody yesterday, a 38 year Bulgarian man who is suspected to have stolen thousands of dollars from several bank accounts using a card-skimming device.

According to reports, around 6:30pm, on Saturday 14th February 2015, officers from the Central Detective Unit, acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at a home occupied by the suspect located at Coca Plum Street, Sea Breeze Estates.

During the search the officers found an assortment of fraudulent credit cards, laptop computers, a card reader (card skimming device) and over $75,000:00 in cash. The suspect along with a 22 year old Bahamian man were taken into custody for questioning.

Investigations are ongoing.
