Nassau police arrest suspect stealing from vehicles

Nassau, Bahamas - Quick action by officers from the Western Division has led to the arrest of an adult male shortly after he stole several items from a vehicle parked in Cable Beach on Saturday 23rd April 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 11:00am, a woman reported to police that her Hyundai Tuscon vehicle was broken into whilst parked in Cable Beach and her cell phone along with her handbag were stolen. Officers from the Western Division responded and arrested the suspect in the area. The complainant’s cell phone along with her handbag was found in his possession. Police also found a number of items in the suspect’s possession suspected of being stolen from other vehicles.

The suspect is being quizzed in connection with several other reported thefts from vehicles in the Cable Beach area.
