Nassau police find $10,000 worth of drugs on flight from Jamaica

Nassau, Bahamas - Police foiled an attempt to smuggle in drugs into the country with the seizure of $10,000 dollars worth of drugs at LPIA on Thursday 5th February 2015.

According to reports, shortly before 4:00pm, officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force K-9 Unit were on duty at The Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), when they intercepted a suspicious luggage that came in on board a Caribbean airline flight from Jamaica. A search was conducted of the luggage and 10 pounds of marijuana was uncovered.

No one was arrested in connection with this seizure.

Investigations are ongoing.
