SUSPECT WHO SHOT HIS GIRLFRIEND IS IN CUSTODY

Nassau, Bahamas - A 25  year old man of Yellow Elder is in custody following a shooting incident that has left a woman detained in hospital on Monday 23rd February 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00am a woman was involved in an argument with the suspect, who is her boyfriend, which resulted in the suspect shooting her in her left leg with a handgun. The woman was rushed to hospital where she is detained in stable condition.

Police arrested the suspect a short while later for questioning reference to this incident.

AMERICAN VISITOR ARRESTED FOR DANGEROUS DRUGS


A 35 –year old American man from Ohio is in custody after he was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs on Sunday 22nd February 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 3:30pm, officers from the Tourism Policing Unit acting on intelligence went to a cruise ship moored at Prince George Wharf, where they found the suspect in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.
