From:TheBahamasWeekly.com Royal Bahamas Police Force According to reports shortly after 2:00 pm officers of Fire Services observed smoke emanating from Ranfurly House, which is located in the western area of Police Headquarters. Initial reports indicate that around 10:00 am officers were conducting a routine burn,when the embers reportedly fell onto the roof of Ranfurly House.The blaze was confined to the roof of Ranfurly House and extinguished within a relatively short period of time; thus preventing any other property damages.
WHAT EVERY CITIZEN SHOULD KNOW: If a police officer while in the execution of his duties asks for your name and address and you fail to give it, or you give a name in which that officer has reason to believe is false, you can be arrested and if convicted fined not less than five hundred dollars but, not more than one thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months or to both the fine and imprisonment.The Royal Bahamas Police Force encourages you to report suspicious people, cars and activities and to obey all laws as we continue with our efforts to make this Bahamas a safer place to live, work, visit and play.
