Nassau police nab 3 murder suspects - U.S. citizen arrested at LPIA

POLICE NAB 3 SUSPECTS FOR WEEKEND MURDERS

Nassau, Bahamas - Police took into custody on Monday 25th August 2014, three men for questioning reference to the recent weekend murders.

The first arrest occurred around 10:00pm, when Central Detective Unit officers acting on intelligence arrested a 23 - year old male of Whites Addition reference to murder.

The second arrest occurred around 10:15pm, when Flying Squad officers acting on intelligence arrested a 20 – year old male of White's Addition reference to murder.

The third and final arrest occurred around 10:30pm, when Mobile Division officers acting on intelligence arrested a 23 – year old male of Strachan's Alley reference to murder.

US CITIZEN ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO DECLARE

A 53 – year old man of Newark, Delaware, USA, is in custody after he was arrested for Failing to Declare on Monday 25th August 2014.

According to reports, shortly before 3:00pm, the man was returning to the United States, when US Customs and Border Patrol officials detained him at the Preclearance Departure Lounge at LPIA for failing to declare, $35,625.00. The man was handed over to the police and is expected to appear in court later today to be formally charged.
