Bahamas police probe death of man and woman from Nassau Village - Shooting on Peter Street

POLICE PROBE DEATH OF A WOMAN AND MAN

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult man and woman that occurred on Thursday 19th May 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 8:00am, police received a report of an adult male and female along with an infant child found in an unconscious state in a home at Butler Street, Nassau Village. When police arrived on the scene they met neighbours and relatives rescuing the three victims from the home and attempting to revive them. The three victims were rushed to hospital where the adult male and female later succumbed.

The infant child remains in critical condition. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. (Police later said they suspected toxic fumes from a generator had killed the married couple and left their infant granddaughter in critical condition. - The Tribune)

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

According to reports, shortly after 8:00am on Thursday 19th May 2016, a man was walking on Peter Street,when a man armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.
