Nassau police renew public appeal for help in 3 recent homicides

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information they might have regarding three recent homicides.

The first incident occurred shortly before 2:00am on Thursday 4th December 2014 at East West Highway in the area of Abundant Life Road, where a man was shot to death by three armed men as he along with two others stopped their vehicle to remove several large stones that were blocking the highway.

The second incident occurred, around 7:00pm on Thursday 4th December 2014, when an off duty police officer was shot and killed by two armed men whilst sitting in a jeep with a female friend on Durham Street off Montrose Avenue.

The final incident occurred shortly after 8:00pm on Friday 5th December 2014, when a man along with his brother was at their home located at Forbes Street, Nassau Village, when three men armed with firearms approached them and fired several shots. The victim received multiple wounds to the body and succumbed to his injuries near the Soldier Road round about whilst in route to hospital in a private vehicle.

Police are actively investigating these incidents.
