Nassau police report shootings in Glendale Subdivision and Nassau Village

Nassau, Bahamas - Police in Nassau are seeking the public's assistance with two shooting incidents which took place on Wednesday morning:

In the first incident, around 8:00am on Wednesday 31st December 2014, a man was standing in the street at Glendale Subdivision, when a man armed with a firearm shot him to the left side of his body before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 9:30am a man was standing with a group of men at Catherine Street, Nassau Village, when two men in a black Honda vehicle pulled up an fired several shots at them before speeding off. The victim received a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.



Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
