Nassau police search for suspects in 2 overnight armed robberies and 2 shootings

SUSPECTS IN TWO ARMED ROBBERIES BEING SOUGHT

Nassau, Bahamas - In the first incident, shortly after 10:00pm on Saturday 31st October 2015, a woman and a man was sitting in a 2007 black Honda vehicle parked in front of a home located at Hanna Road, when two men armed with handguns approached and robbed them of cash, two cell phones and their vehicle before speeding off.

In the second incident, shortly after 12:00am on Sunday 1st November 2015, a woman and a man was sitting in a gold Nissan Premier vehicle license number 277183 parked in front of a home located at Fire Trail Road, when three men in a Black Honda vehicle armed with a handguns approached and robbed them of their vehicle before speeding off.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN TWO SHOOTINGS

In the first incident, shortly 9:00pm on Saturday 31st October 2015, a woman was standing outside of a nightclub located on Gibbs corner when she was shot. The woman was transported to hospital where she remains in stable condition.

In the second incident, around 1:00am on Sunday 1st November 2015, a man was walking on Gibbs corner when he was shot. The man was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

THE POLICE ARE URGING CITIZENS TO CONTINUE COLLABORATING WITH THEM IN AN EFFORT TO RID THE COUNTRY OF ILLEGAL FIREARMS, WHICH ARE THE WEAPONS OF CHOICE IN MEANWHILE, THE POLICE CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY OPERATIONS ACROSS THE ISLAND AND COUNTRY AND ARE IN VIGOROUS PURSUIT OF ILLEGAL GUNS AND THEIR MOVEMENT ACROSS OUR BORDERS.
