Nassau police seek suspects after 4 armed robberies - Drugs seized

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for four separate armed robberies that occurred on Monday 23rd January 2017.

In the first incident, shortly before 11:00am, a man had just walked out of a bank in the Harbour Bay Shopping Center, when a man armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of a large amount of cash before fleeing in a grey Odyssey vehicle driven by another man.

In the second incident, shortly after 7:00pm, a man had just pulled up in his Honda vehicle at his home located in Dignity Gardens, when two males armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of a gold chain and his red Honda vehicle before speeding off. Hours later the vehicle was recovered abandoned in Jubilee Gardens.

Then shortly after 9:00pm, a woman was standing in front of her home located on Christie Avenue, when two men armed with a handgun approached and robbed her of her cell phone before speeding off in a red Honda.

In the final incident, a woman had just pulled up at her home located in Blue Hill Heights, when two men armed with a handgun approached and robbed her of her handbag containing personal items before speeding off in a red Honda.

Investigations are ongoing in all of these incidents.


DRUG SEIZURE:

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, around 5:00pm on Monday 23rd January 2017 Selective Enforcement Team officers acting on information conducted a search of an unoccupied home located at Mastic Drive, Blue Hill Heights, where they uncovered a quantity of dangerous drugs. No one was arrested for this find.
