WOMAN IN CUSTODY FOR TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS POLICE

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are reporting that a 36 – year old Bahamian woman of Sunset Meadows off Cowpen Road is in custody for questioning reference to Trafficking in Persons. Officers from the Flying Squad took the woman into custody by on Friday 15th May 2015.The woman is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECT IN SHOOTING DEATH

POLICE are requesting the public’s help in locating the suspect responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 17th May 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30am, a man was sitting on the rear of a truck, leaving a club located at East Street and Gibbs Corner, when a male armed with a handgun walked up to the truck and shot him in the chest before fleeing on foot. The driver of the truck rushed the man to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE SUSPECT IN THIS INCIDENT, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
