POLICE INVESTIGATES DOUBLE SHOOTING

Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left two juvenile males in hospital.The incident reportedly occurred around 7:20 pm on Tuesday 21st February, 2012.

Preliminary police reports indicate that the males, ages 17 and 15 years, were on the park at Fowler Street when they were approached by two (2) males and subsequently shot.

The seventeen (17) year old received gunshot injuries to the buttocks and the leg and the fifteen (15) year old to the thigh.

Both males were taken to hospital where they are detained in stable condition.

Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this incident to contact police.

POLICE AT ELEUTHERA MAKE DRUG ARREST

Three (3) males are in police custody after being found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.Officers of the Governors Harbour Police Station arrested the men around 7:25 am on Tuesday 21st February, 2012 after executing a search warrant on their residence at Russell Island, Eleuthera.

The drugs weighed one and a half (11/2) pounds and have an estimated street value of one thousand, five hundred ($1,500.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.
