New Providence Police uncover firearm & Identify murder victim

POLICE UNCOVER FIREARM

In keeping with the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan “Tackling Crime”, officers of the Central Division removed another firearm from the streets of New Providence.

According to police reports around 10:55 am on Wednesday 01st February, 2012 officers of the Central Division acting on information went to a vacant property off Rupert Dean Lane where they discovered a handgun.No one was taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE IDENTIFY MURDERED VICTIM

On Sunday 29th January, 2012 a shooting incident occurred at Wilson Track which resulted in the death of a male.Police have identified the victim as 49 year old MICHEL JOSEPH of WILSON TRACK.

Police are continuing their investigations into the matter and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this incident to contact police.
