Nassau, Bahamas - OFFICERS OF THE GROVE POLICE STATION MAKE DRUG ARREST: Three (3) people, two (2) males and a female are in police custody after being found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana. Officers of the Grove Police Station made the arrest around 2:50 am on Friday 10th February, 2012 after executing a search warrant on a home at Nassau Village. Active police investigations continue.
Police are questioning two (2) males, ages 19 and 18 years, in connection with an
alleged abduction report. The incident reportedly occurred around 7:30 pm on Thursday 09th February, 2012. Initial police reports indicate that a student of the College of the Bahamas was entering his vehicle when he was approached by a male allegedly armed with a handgun.
It is reported that the culprit was later accompanied by two (2) other men who tied up the victim and placed him into the trunk of the car. Police later intercepted the vehicle on Marshall Road, where the student was located unharmed and the culprits eventually arrested. Police have launched an intensive search for the third culprit. Active police investigations continue.
POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left an 18 year old male in hospital. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:50 pm on Thursday 09th
February, 2012.
Initial police reports indicate that the victim was in the area of Fowler Street when he heard gunshots and realized that he was shot to the arm. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition. Active police investigations continue.
