RBPF Nassau: American Man & woman arrested for failing to declare - 10 arrested by Mobile Officers

AMERICAN MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO DECLARE

A 57 – year old American man and his 57 – year old American woman, from New York are in custody for Failing to Declare on Sunday 13th April 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 3:00pm, the duo were returning to the United States, when they were detained by US Customs and Border Patrol officials at the Preclearance Departure Lounge at LPIA for failing to declare $26,124:00. They were handed over to the police and are expected to appear in court later today to be formally charged.

10 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities reaped the following results during the past 24 hours:
One (1) arrest for Possession of Dangerous Drugs One (1) arrest for an Outstanding Criminal Complaint One (1) arrest for Stolen Vehicle
One (1) arrest for Assault with a Deadly Weapon
One (1) arrest for Unlawful Possession
One (1) arrest for Threats of Death
One (1) arrest for Breach of the Immigration Act Three (3) arrests for Outstanding Court Warrants
