RBPF Nassau: Latest homicide victims identified - 2 armed robberies - 31 arrests

Police identify latest homicide victims - The man stabbed to death at Arawak Cay on Sunday 22nd March 2015, has been identified as 21 – year old Ronald Fleurinval of Farrington Road.

The man shot and killed at Strachan’s Boulevard off Soldier Road on Friday 20th March 2015, has been identified as 28 – year old Jarade Nathaniel Butterfield of Strachan’s Boulevard

Police seek public’s help in solving 2 arm robberies - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving two separate armed robberies that occurred on Monday 23rd March 2015.

In the first incident, shortly after 12:00noon, a woman was parked in her Mitsubishi L300 Taxi license number 722 at LPIA, when two men asked her to take them to Carmichael Road. Whilst riding in the area of the Coral Harbor Round, the two men armed with a handgun, robbed her of her vehicle and sped off. The vehicle contained two cell phones and a small amount of cash in a handbag.

In the second incident, shortly after 2:00pm, a man armed with a handgun robbed a business establishment located on East Street South of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

Investigations are ongoing.

Bimini Police uncover dangerous drugs & ammunition -  On Monday 23rd March 2015 shortly after 11:00pm, officers while on mobile patrol   in the Alice Town area, observed a male at an apartment complex who was acting   suspicious and fled upon seeing the officers. As a result officers entered that   apartment where they discover (50) foil wraps containing suspected marijuana, (8)   foil wraps of suspected cocaine, (1) .40 live round of ammunition, cash, (1)   Bahamian passport and (1) U.S Passport.  Investigations are continuing in this matter.

31 arrested during 3 separate police operations - Police are reporting the arrest of 31 persons in separate operations conducted by officers from the Southern, Southeastern and Southwestern Divisions on Monday 23rd March 2015.

During the operation conducted by Southern Division officers, 8 persons were arrested for various offences such as house breaking, causing harm and stolen vehicle.

During the operation conducted by Southeastern Division officers, 10 persons were arrested for various offences such as possession of dangerous drugs, threats of death, causing harm and indecent assault.

During the operation conducted by Southwestern Division officers, 13 persons were arrested for various offences such as, house breaking, possession of dangerous drugs, stolen vehicle and shop breaking.
