2 suspects sought in Nassau arm robberies - Shooting incident on Shady Tree St. - 5 arrests

SUSPECTS IN TWO ARM ROBBERIES BEING SOUGHT BY POLICE

In the first incident, shortly after 8:00pm on Monday 5th October 2015, a man armed with a handgun robbed a woman of her handbag and cell phone in front of her home located at Harry Allen Drive before fleeing on foot.

In the second incident, shortly after 11:00pm on Monday 5th October 2015, two men armed with a handgun robbed a woman of her grey 2012 Hyundai Tuscon vehicle in front of her home located at Bacardi Road before fleeing on foot.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR TWO SUSPECTS IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

According to reports, shortly after 8:00pm on Monday 5th October 2015, two men were on Shady Tree Street, when two men armed with handguns approached and shot them before speeding off. The two men were rushed to hospital where they remain in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

5 ARRESTED BY POLICE SPECIAL OPERATION TEAM

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, a special police operation team conducted an operation throughout the streets of New Providence on Monday 5th October 2015 that resulted in the arrest of 5 persons for various offences such as, possession of dangerous drugs, Arson and stealing.
