RBPF: Armed suspect shot by police, dies in hospital -

Nassau, Bahamas - An adult male suspect who was being held on double murder and firearm charges died in hospital shortly before 6:00pm on Sunday 20th March 2016.

The suspect was shot by police, during an exchange of gunfire on Saturday 12th March 2016, at Greenwich Street off Mason’s Way and was transported to hospital where he was detained. Police recovered a handgun along with ammunition from the suspect on the scene.

Her Majesty’s Coroner, Mrs. Jeanine Weech-Gomez has commenced an investigation into the incident.All inquiries are to be directed to Mrs. Jeanine Weech-Gomez at Royal Victoria Gardens.
