RBPF Nassau: 2 men stabbed overnight - Red Kia Sportage jeep stolen - 13 arrested over 48 hrs

(Nassau, Bahamas) Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a robbery that occurred on Friday 5th December 2014. According to reports, shortly before 7:00pm, a woman was sitting in her red Kia Sportage jeep off Yamacraw Road, when two men forced her out of the jeep and sped off.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police probe two stabbing incidents - In the first incident, shortly after 9:00pm on Friday 5th December 2014, a man was at a bar located on Tonique Darling Highway, when two men known to him, stabbed him about the body and fled on foot. The victim was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 12:00midnight on Saturday 6th December 2014, a man was attending a party at Bacardi Road, when a group of men stabbed him in the head with an unknown object. The victim was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.

13 arrested by Mobile Division officers during 48 hour period - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrest of thirteen (13) persons during the past 48 hours for various criminal offences.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of wanted persons or any information about crimes and other illegal activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) or the nearest Police Station.
