POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING ARMED ROBBERY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday 29th November 2017.

Shortly after 6:00pm, police received information that a man and a woman were on a beach in western New Providence when they were approached by two males armed with firearms who held them up and robbed them of a black 2013 Kia Sportage jeep license # AP1962 before fleeing in the same.

Investigations are ongoing.

ILLEGAL GUN SEIZED, TWO MALES IN CUSTODY, STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED

Proactive Policing has led to another illegal firearm being taken off the streets of New Providence on Wednesday 29th November, 2017.

According to reports, short before 11:00pm, Drug Enforcement Officers were on routine patrol on Quarry Mission Road when they stopped and conducted a search of a Silver Honda Vehicle with two male occupants. Officers recovered a .40 pistol and fourteen (14) rounds of ammunition from the vehicle. The men were subsequently taken into custody.

A short distance away officers recovered a black Kia Sportage jeep which was reportedly taken in an armed robbery.

122 DRIVERS TICKETED BY UNIFORMED OFFICERS IN AN ISLAND WIDE OVERNGHT OPERATION

Officers from the Uniform Divisions on New Providence conducted road checks in various parts of the island. Their efforts, which were intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in 122 drivers being ticketed for various traffic violations.
