POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN SHOOTING DEATH

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a shooting incident that has left one man dead on Sunday 5th June 2016.

Reports are that around 1:30am, an adult male was sitting in his vehicle outside of a takeaway restaurant on Carmichael Road waiting on a female friend who was closing, when a man armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The female friend of the male then drove him to the parking lot of the Carmichael Road Police Station where he was pronounced dead

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE NAB 2 SUSPECTS SHORTLY AFTER ROBBERY

Quick action by police has led to the apprehension of two adult males shortly after they allegedly committed an armed robbery on Saturday 4th June 2016.

According to reports, shortly before 1:00pm, two males armed with a handgun held up and robbed a business establishment on Faith Avenue North of cash before fleeing in a black Honda Civic car.

Police were immediately alerted and an All Points Bulletin (APB) was issued for the suspects. A short while later, responding officers from the Mobile Division, spotted the two suspects traveling in the getaway vehicle on Milo Butler Highway. The officers ordered the occupants of the vehicle to stop and arrested the two suspects. During a search of the suspects the officers recovered the cash taken during the armed robbery.
