POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A WOMAN

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a sexual assault of a woman that occurred at St. James Road on Tuesday 23rd September 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 2:00am, the victim was walking on St. James Road, when a man armed with a handgun forced her into nearby bushes and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then fled in a white Honda civic vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing.

8 ARRESTED OVERNIGHT BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of eight (8) persons overnight for various minor and major offences.

POLICE TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Police wish to inform the motoring public who commute along the Prince Charles Drive corridor, that the road works between St. Michael Road and Soldier Road is still ongoing.

Police are appealing to motorists to adhere to the traffic management initiatives that are in place and to choose an alternate route or avoid the area if possible.

Officers from the Police Traffic Department will be visible in the area to assist with the smooth flow of traffic.
