POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on the Island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident Monday, 29th October 2018, which left an adult male with injuries. 

According to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, a man had just arrived at his residence in Pastel Gardens, when he was approached by two men armed with firearms, who attempted to pull him out of his vehicle. The men were unsuccessful, and as a result, they shot the man, before getting in to a dark colour vehicle, license # AE7477 and speeding away. Paramedics assisted the injured man to hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. 

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERIES

Police on New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in solving two armed robberies which occurred Monday, 29th October, 2018.

In the first incident, according to reports, shortly after 12:00noon, a male was at his residence on Hermit Road, San Souci, when he was approached by three armed men, who robbed him of cash and jewelry before getting into a white Nissan Tiida car and speeding away.

In the second incident, according to reports, before 11:00pm a man had just arrived at his residence in Rockwell Estate, when he was approached by three armed men, who robbed him of cell phones, before getting into a dark colour jeep and speeding away.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THESE INCIDENTS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS), THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 502-9991/2 OR THE NEAREST POLIKCE STATION.
