Nassau man in custody for stabbing death - Police arrest 10 on various offenses

3 ARRESTED BY FLYING SQUAD OFFICERS

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Police Priorities for 2015, officers from the Flying Squad conducted an operation throughout New Providence on Tuesday 19th May 2015, that targeted persons wanted for a number of serious crimes.

The operation resulted in the following arrests:

A 35 – year old man of Labour Street for questioning reference to Armed Robbery

A 30 – year old man of Twynam Heights for Threats of Death

An 18 – year old man of Spence Street for questioning reference to Murder

7 ARRESTED DURING SOUTHEASTERN DIVISION OPERATION

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Southeastern Division officers conducted an operation in the division on Tuesday 19th 2015, that targeted persons wanted for various criminal offences.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 7 persons for housebreaking, threats of death, assault and an outstanding criminal warrant.

MAN IN CUSTODY FOR STABBING DEATH

A 31 – year old male of Okra Hill is in custody in connection with a stabbing incident that has left a man dead on Tuesday 19th May 2015.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30pm, a man was involved in an argument with another man at the Potters Cay Dock that resulted in him being stabbed to the body with a knife. The victim was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injury.

A short while later police arrested the suspect for questioning reference to this incident.
